Chelsea FC
For the last 3 years Daniel Wolff-Lawson BSc has been the Football Conditioner for the Chelsea's Academy, working with the under 14s to  develop speed, agility and reactions. He is also the first-aider at matches.

Daniel used his Sport Science knowledge to develop football specific drills which enhanced players’ fitness, speed and agility in a time efficient manner.

He now trains some of the players here in Oxford.

Oxfordshire Cricket Academy

We have been involved with Oxfordshire Cricket Academy since 2003 when Rupert Evans of Oxfordshire Cricket Development recognised the importance in having a structured fitness training programme for developing elite adult cricketers.

Wolff Fitness Ltd have put in place a sport science package to promote greater adherence to fitness training from young, elite cricketers.

In January we test all age groups, from Under 13’s to adults, in the key areas of speed, agility, upper body endurance, lower body power, aerobic endurance and flexibility. The results of individuals are compared to their other tests to show any improvements or decline of fitness. Based on these results and from questionnaires, each player receives a personalised training programme to follow for 3 months.

In April or May, players are re-tested. Coaches have access to the information and can see whether a player has improved his weaknesses or not. This has proved useful for coaches to establish which players are most committed – those who have improved tend to be the more focused and willing to put in the effort to improve themselves.

Wolff Fitness has had great success in delivering nutrition workshops for local cricket youth teams to encourage a better awareness of the importance between good nutrition and sports performance.

Oxfordshire Lawn Tennis Association

The Oxfordshire LTA is based in Abingdon. Wolff Fitness are delivering tennis specific fitness training to their elite young players. The training focuses on improving speed and power, increasing upper body strength and reducing the risk of injury through shoulder stabilisation exercises.

Players are tested every 6 months and given a training programme based upon their weaknesses at the time.

Oxford United Youth Teams

Wolff Fitness Ltd were asked by Darrren Patterson to perform football specific fitness testing and retesting after 6 weeks for their Under 17’s. The results were summarised for the coaches to show improvements, strengths and weaknesses of individuals.

We also developed a pre-season fitness programme for players and the coaching sessions. Players were given individual strength, core stability and endurance programmes whilst coaches followed a periodised speed, agility and endurance team sessions.

All players improved their fitness test results after the 6 weeks.
